My travels in the 2010s
Traveling while working and having a family – 40 countries visited
As soon as my children grew enough to safely travel around, I embarked a new mission – family travelling. Since 2011, I have organized numerous family vacations with my partner and our children. The dynamics of travel, as well as our priorities and goals, tend to differ. I prioritize choosing more secure countries that offer relatively comfortable logistics, superior accommodations, and more formal dining experiences.
Being in the company of children frequently results in receiving distinct attention, visiting attractions that are more kids-friendly, and meeting diverse people or families.
In 2010s I was based most of the time in Panama, Central America. I used the opportunity to visit Caribbean Islands, some new parts of the USA (Hawaii) and strengthen the links with Latin American cultures, businesswise and personal wise.
Exploring various regions of the world from my base in Central America proved to be quite challenging due to the high costs associated with logistics and my limited financial resources. I recognized that improving my proficiency in certain languages, particularly those spoken in specific areas, would significantly facilitate my interactions with local populations.
I identified Russian and French as key languages that would enhance my communication skills in Central Asia and former French colonies in Africa. With the rise of online learning platforms, which offer a more practical and efficient approach, I made the decision to learn both languages before embarking on my travels to these areas.
